BBC Oldest commercial broadcaster. It was established in order to provide competition to the BBC. (established 1932). Profitable.

Storeman- The person who is responsible for storing props. Petty Cash Buyer- Someone who goes to buy petty items (tea bags) when not recording. Best boy- The assistant of the electrical in a film crew. Grip-  To provide support for the camera man. Gaffer- The head electrician. Focus puller-  A member of a film crew's camera department whose primary responsibility is to maintain image sharpness on whatever subject or action is being filmed.  Storyboard artist- The artist that creates visuals for each major scene. Rigging- Worker responsible for the setting, hanging and focusing of light instrumentals and constructing scaffolding used in making film sets. Unit Medic- A doctor that is always on sight in case something goes wrong during the filming of  a scene. Unit driver- Drives artists and crew members to and from the film sight.

Every household in the UK has a TV license if they watch TV. The fine for not paying a TV licenses fee is £1000. BBC channels are all funded by the TV license fee. Sky get money from adverts, Broadband services. Remit (The responsibility of the programme)- All BBC programmes have to inform, educate and entertain. - The BBC are not allowed to advertise other brands during a programme. Public service broadcasting- This means that programmes are made for the public. There are no advertisements. Public service broadcasters generally transmit programming that aims to improve society by informing viewers. Public service broadcasters also strive to entertain their viewers. Funding 75% of the BBCs funding comes from the licence fee.
