How is the genre established? The contemporary rock is established in this magazine front cover. It is established in the look for the actors. The actors look as if they are rock stars and this of what the magazine is going to be about. The masthead is large and bold, this gives the connotation of being loud and out there which the magazine tries to aim to be, this could represent the chaotic contemporary lifestyle of the artist s featured inside, the edgy font represents rebelliousness. Shot type This is a mid shot. It shows the faces of the band. This is ideal to use as a contemporary rock magazine front cover as its shows the band members faces covered with make up to make them look scary and rebellious. This links to the theme of contemporary rock as it the type of music is seen as a rebellious genre. They all have strange looks on their faces as well this could show that the rock genre is Mise-en-scene The font that is used in the front cover is bold and all the writing ...

This is because on every piece of traditional advertisement has a teenager or someone who is of that age. The advertisement is also suggested to be for teenagers as on the advertisement clothes that teenagers may seem are cool are worn. The film also targets people who like to street dance. This is because this is what the film is mainly about. Street dancers are on very piece of traditional advertisement. They are also doing some very cool dance moves on the advertisement. This could be used to attract a wider audience. Street dance 3D has a website. this website is done by the BBC films with production images a synopsis of the films and lots of news and views of it. Moral panics and regulation

In 1972, Stanley Cohen developed the moral panic theory. This encompassed ideas of folk devils in society. Moral panic happens when "a condition, episode, person or group of persons emerges to become defined as a threat to societal values and interests". His research was based on the mods and rockers in the 1960s, but have since been applied in the media. The stages of social panic -Someone, something or a group are defined as a threat to social norms or community interests. -The threat is then depicted in a simple and recognisable symbol/ form by the media. -The portrayal of his symbol rouses public concern. -There is a response from authorities and policy makers. -The moral panic over the issues results in social changes within the community. -VHS is introduced. Audiences con now rewind and rematch segments of film. -The Jamie Bulgar case in the UK focused public attention on screen violence. People want to ban young black boys making drill music. Legal and ethical issues

Passive audience:  A  passive audience  is an  audience  that observes an event rather than actively responding it.  Active audience: A ctive audience  theory argues that media  audiences  do not just receive information passively but actively involved. Hypodermic Needle Theory: - Theorises that  audiences are essentially passive, and will readily absorb messages relayed to them by the media. - This means that, after watching a violent horror film, or playing a violent POV shooter, audience members will be negatively influenced. - This presupposes that audiences are passive (unable to reject media messages) rather than active (they make sense of media messages through personal and social contexts).  Desensitised- numbed by the effects of exposure of themes and content.  Today people will think of those in the past as wimps as we are exposed to more  vulgar  movies. Lots of close ups used to...
